you will have to take the ID of the chassis you are fitting unless you go for a new chassis which you can then keep the ID of the original

depends on the price quoted for new. have a word with Spannermonkeys at Gateshead. they have several new D2 chassis in and can turn them around in a week. they will give you good honest advice. speak to Marsha 0191 4698740. they have people come from all over the country and Ireland to have them changed

Disco 2 Replacement Chassis

I have a 2001 Discovery 2 with a suspect chassis. It's due an MOT and likely to fail.
I have been offered a second hand chassis, stripped and cleaned, with a further offer to galvanise it and then fit it to my car.
Does anyone have any views or advice on this?
It is a lot cheaper then new and is starting to look like an option.
Any feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks,
JKB
