Body rot on Series 1 Disco's is legendary! If the rot really is extensive, I can't see that there's any reason to do it unless the car has huge sentimental value and / or you can do all the welding yourself, have weeks with nothing to do and positively enjoy doing this work!

If Disco 1's ever become valuable enough to justify the money that you're going to have to sink into it otherwise, it's unlikely to be anytime soon!

Hi
I am Terry. I have a very nice looking K plate Discovery 3.5i, 3 door, manual. I would like some advise please. She runs and drives very well but has serious rot issues. Has anyone actually bothered rebuilding one of these. Its all the rage with the Range Rovers but will these V8 Discos ever really be worth hours of welding.
Ta
Terry
