Re: Maf sensor

Hi
Production of the 300 series discos ended in 1998 which is the same year that the Disco 2 came in with either a Td5 engine or a V8 engine,.
The Td5 has more electronics than the previous models and does have an ECU which controls the engine management. Apparently the only thing on a Td5 that is the same on a 300 is the rear door. Everything else was changed.
Hope it helps.

Hi all I have a 95 300tdi and thinking of getting a 98 reg one but why have the older tdi have a MAF sensor on them as I thought all TDi's had a mechanical pump so what does the MAF alter also has that model got a ECU if so what does it adjust.
Many thanks
