Discovery 4 Folding Wing Mirrors

Post by bcksteve » Wed Jan 10, 2018 1:26 pm

Hi All. Query about my wing mirrors if you would. 2013 HSE SDV6. Up until not so long ago the mirrors would fold with activation of the locks via key fob (now they don't??) To my best knowledge, nothing has changed in any of the onboard options. Another change is that there are a couple of audible tweets when locking which was never the case before, on reading the manual it suggests perhaps one of the doors are not closed fully, again is not the case. This seemed to start when I had a reduced power code reset due to the EGR being stuffed up. Coincidence?

Have a look at the user manual it should tell you how to reset the mirrors to autofold.

They could possibly have gone out of sync'. Manually move the mirrors back and forth a couple of times and try again. Incidentally do your windows still operate on one touch ?
If not, this indicates a power disruption which may lead to the mirror fault.
Not in depth but hope it helps.
